In this photo, I have pretty much finished Luna's portrait and have painted in the towers. I also have signed the painting. The letters in the sky are still just penciled in. I painted in the blood ruby and was worried about all of the pearls especially the ones in her ears because the earrings were going to be up against a white collar and probably wouldn't show up. By the time I took this photo, I still hadn't solved that problem. I was also having trouble with the white collar and wiped it off a couple of times because it wasn't convincing. I finally found Mark Ryden's website and there was a painting of a white sheet that provided the right color combination.
